The basic PASS system consists of the slicing tower above, mounted over a reservoir of antioxidant solution. Sliced apples fall into the bath, while cores are ejected. After dipping, apple slices are spun to remove excess liquid, then transfered to filling trays.  Filling trays have down-spouts positioned over weighing scales.  The operator places a bag or tub under the spout resting on a scale, then brings the bag or tub  to weight.

This beginning system can produce 500 net lbs. of edible product per hour. The challenge is to "keep up" with the production rate of the slicing tower.  Eventually you will want to Scale Up.
